It’s almost that time of year again, when we start thinking about St. Patrick’s Day weekend celebrations. This year, they include the all-new Me Auld Flower Food and Drink Festival, taking place in the iconic surrounds of the historic Dublin City Fruit, Veg and Flower Market!
From March 16th-19th, Dublin will host a range of chefs, growers, brewers and distillers – and everything in between. Finally, the exciting festival line-up has been announced, with plenty of big names taking centre stage, including; Pitt Bros; Mark O’Brien; Shauna Froydenlund; The Saucy Cow; 3FE; and White Hag, to name a few.
For a special and more private experience, there is the ticketed event of Eat the Head off Ya, with drinks from Neighbourhood Wine and a curated menu from chef Eric Matthews. This event seats only 24 guests per sitting and overlooks the entire market.
Other festival highlights to look forward to include; a coddle cook-off competition; an onion-eating challenge; a live fire cooking area hosted by Big Grill; Me Auld Flower walking tours; an oyster bar; as well as an array of demos, classes, tastings and workshops, all curated to celebrate the Irish food and drink scene, as it is now.
Visit: meauldflower.com for more information and to purchase tickets. Ticket prices start at €22, and under 12’s go free on Sunday 19th of March from 12pm-8pm (for Mother’s Day), with kids’ entertainment and activities.
