Fire-roasted hot dogs

Serves 4


4 sausages or hot dogs of your choice (we used organic pork sausages and veggie sausages)
4 hotdog buns


Suggested toppings:

Onion relish

Ketchup

American mustard


  1. Either place your hot dogs on metal skewers and roast them in the flames, or wait until your fire has burnt down a little and cook them on an old pan or baking tray — if they are pork sausages, just be sure they are fully cooked through before serving.
  2. Remove when cooked and add to buns with your favourite toppings.
