  1. In a pan over medium heat, sweat the onions until translucent and soft, then remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Add the bacon to the pan and cook until just golden. Add the chicken and cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing the bacon to finish cooking with the chicken.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. In a separate pot, boil the broccoli for 10-15 minutes, until just cooked.
  4. Once the chicken and bacon have browned, add onions back into the pan, then add the garlic and cook for another three minutes.
  5. Deglaze the pan with white wine and let it reduce by half, making sure not to let it reduce too much.
  6. Add the cream and reduce by half again.
  7. Add the cooked broccoli, pesto and cheese and mix through.
  8. Drain the pasta and add to the sauce mixture. Top with mangetout and Parmesan.
  9. Serve with garlic bread.
