  1. Preheat the oven to 170 ̊C/150 ̊C/gas mark 3.
  2. Split the baguette length-wise, then cut each length in half cross-wise. Place on a baking tray, cut side up.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together the garlic, Parmesan, olive oil, oregano and some salt and pepper to form a thick paste.
  4. Using a butter knife or spatula, evenly divide the mixture between the baguette halves, spreading it out in an even layer.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the baguettes are lightly browned and the garlic mixture is bubbly, watching carefully to be sure they don’t burn.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly, then slice into pieces and serve.
