To serve:

  1. Stir lemon juice, salt and pepper into shop-bought hummus.
  2. To make the gomasio, crush the toasted sesame seeds, either with a mortar and pestle, in a blender or food processor, then add the flaky sea salt and mix. The mixture should remain chunky and not be a fine powder.
  3. To serve, either drizzle olive oil or pesto over the hummus and top with gomasio. Enjoy with pittas or crudites of your choice.
