Avonmore Double Cream and rich dark chocolate are the perfect pairing in this craveworthy sweet fondue, ready for dipping with fruit, marshmallows or even brownie chunks.
Strawberries, orange segments, banana chunks, marshmallows, chopped brownies and/or chopped croissants
For the fondue:
229ml Avonmore Double Cream
Pinch of salt
340g dark chocolate, roughly chopped, or use chocolate chips
1 tbsp Tia Maria (optional, if not cooking children)
- Arrange your dipping foods of choice on a platter ready to serve, and add skewers, forks or fondue forks.
- In a small saucepan, heat the Avonmore Double Cream with a pinch of salt over a medium heat until tiny bubbles begin to develop around the edges; do not allow to come to a boil.
- Remove from the heat and immediately add the chocolate and Tia Maria, if using. Whisk as the chocolate melts until the mixture is smooth.
- Immediately transfer to a fondue pot with a low flame, or serve straight from the pot. If the fondue begins to feel a little stiff as it cools, stir in one tablespoon of Avonmore Double Cream.
