1 fresh baguette, sliced on the diagonal
Olive oil, for brushing
1 whole Camembert, in the box
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Fresh figs, quartered (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 190˚C/170˚C fan/gas mark 5.
- Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and toast in the oven until golden. Remove the Camembert from the box and discard the plastic wrapping. Place the cheese back in the box and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with black pepper and the thyme leaves.
- Place the lid back on the box. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve on a platter with the toasted baguette slices, garnished with quartered figs, if desired.
