- Preheat the oven to 170 ̊C/150 ̊C/gas mark 3.
- Split the baguette length-wise, then cut each length in half cross-wise. Place on a baking tray, cut side up.
- In a small bowl, stir together the garlic, Parmesan, olive oil, oregano and some salt and pepper to form a thick paste.
- Using a butter knife or spatula, evenly divide the mixture between the baguette halves, spreading it out in an even layer.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the baguettes are lightly browned and the garlic mixture is bubbly, watching carefully to be sure they don’t burn.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly, then slice into pieces and serve.
