How to make flavoursome beef crusts

    Roast beef with herby horseradish crust Easy Food

    Roast beef is a classic dish, but by mixing up the crust you can really make the dish stand out and feel like new. Here are some of our favourite flavoursome crusts!

    Mustard and tarragon crust

    4 tbsp wholegrain mustard
    4 tbsp Dijon mustard
    1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves

    Caesar crust

    4 tsp black pepper
    70g breadcrumbs
    80g grated Parmesan
    150g mayonnaise
    4 drained anchovy fillets (packed in oil)
    3 tsp Dijon mustard
    Zest of 1 lemon
    2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    2 garlic cloves

    Herb crust

    120ml olive oil
    5 garlic cloves
    1 bunch fresh parsley
    1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
    2 tbsp fresh oregano leaves
    1 tsp fresh rosemary leaves
    2 tbsp English mustard powder

    Horseradish crust

    50g butter
    2 tbsp black peppercorns
    2 tbsp prepared horseradish
    1 tbsp fresh parsley
