Good news for beer and cheese fans! The brewers at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery have teamed up with Griolladh, an Irish start-up grilled cheese duo who are pushing the boundaries of flavour and taste. This collaboration sees the coming together of like-minded people to create two mouth-watering cheese toasties. Taking inspiration from the flavours of Hop House 13, Griolladh has created two exclusive grilled cheese sambos that both complement and contrast the flavours of the beer. These indulgent grilled cheese toasties are exclusively available at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery for the month of December.

First up, the Griolladh Cheese ‘N’ Onion. A delicious mix of the Griolladh signature three-cheese blend, smashed potato and onion, with Hop House 13 caramelised onions and pickled shallots. The sweet onions complement the fruity tones in the beer, creating a taste sensation, while the carbonation helps to cut though the rich, gooey cheese.

Next, it’s the Griolladh Hopscotch, a Caribbean twist on bacon and cabbage with the Griolladh signature three-cheese blend, Jerk bacon, Haitian pikliz and apricot chutney. The apricot and peach tones from the hops are the perfect contrast to the jerk spiced bacon, creating a flavour explosion of spice and fruit.

Griolladh X Hop House 13 grilled cheeses are exclusively available at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery from now until the end of December, and come with a side of fries for €10. Table sittings can be booked here. The Guinness Open Gate Brewery is open Thursday to Sunday from 5-9pm.
