If, like us, you too are loving the amount of festive foodie events going on around the country, then you’ll be pleased to hear about Guinness Winterfest.
This December, for the first time ever, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery will be transformed into an extraordinary Christmas festival, complete with a seasonally inspired line-up of entertainment. The brewery will open its doors to some of the best local food vendors, designers, gift makers, DJs, bands, comedians, choirs and much more.
Guinness Winterfest will roll out serious festive feels from this Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December 2019 and from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th December. It will be open to members of the public, aged 18 and over, from 4-10pm on Thursday and Fridays, from 1-10pm on Saturdays and from 1-7pm on Sundays.
Curated by food connoisseur Ali Dunworth, Guinness Winterfest will play host to foodies who will take up residency at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery across the festival weekends. They will create festive favourites from sweet treats such as churros with delicious chocolate dip to savoury bubbling cheese toasties — all perfectly paired with a delicious pint of Guinness.
As the Guinness Open Gate Brewery is the home to all beer innovation and experimentation, Guinness brewers and beer sommeliers will also create a selection of Mulled Guinness, Guinness Old Fashioned cocktails and a specially brewed Christmas beer to be enjoyed with the tasty dishes.
The music and entertainment line-up is full to the brim with Christmas feels, programmed by music promoter and Dublin publican, John Mahon. Guests will find live DJs and bands lighting up the stage, bump into up and coming buskers or belt out their own tunes in the karaoke caravan.
Guests can look forward to browsing through the festival stalls in search for unique stocking fillers or a festive treat for themselves! There’ll be fun and different gifts that go beyond the usual Christmas wish list on sale from trend-setting Irish creatives. Expect unexpected crafts and jewellery, prints and quirky cards, apparel and homewares, confectionery and decorations. From self-gifting to finding something for a best friend, there will be something for everyone.
Tickets to Guinness Winterfest are available to buy via eventbrite for €10 per persons aged 18 and over. Tickets include access to Guinness Winterfest plus a pint of Guinness or one of the festive inspired Guinness Open Gate brewers’ experimental beers.
