Will you be taking the DART to Howth this weekend?
This weekend, the Dublin Bay Prawn Festival returns to Howth. The celebration of Irish Seafood takes place in the stunning Dublin fishing village from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May.
Howth’s finest restaurants, bars and cafés will host a variety of food experiences at the Harbour Festival Food Village. There’ll also be craft beer, wine tastings, cooking demos and live music entertainment.
The festival runs right into the evening as Howth Yacht Club hosts live music and food while bars and restaurants around the village offer a special festive menu and entertainment.
There’ll be plenty of walks, talks and seaside antics in the Howth Village Marquee with powerboating and watersports demonstrations along the pier and a vintage funfair.
The Coast Guard and RNLI will be on hand to talk about the important work they do.
Cllr Anthony Lavin, Mayor of Fingal County Council said: “We are delighted to be part of this event, it is an excellent opportunity to showcase Howth and all that it has to offer in terms of food, stunning landscape, culture and heritage.”
The Dublin Bay Prawn Festival, now in its ninth year, has steadily grown into one of the largest food festivals in Ireland – popular with foodies and families alike.
