We at Easy Food are super excited for The Big Grill 2019, and can’t wait to indulge ourselves in all of that BBQ goodness! After last year’s raging success, it comes as no surprise that this year’s lineup is looking pretty phenomenal!

Europe’s largest BBQ festival is back with a bang, and returns for its sixth year from 15th-18th August 2019 in Herbert Park, Dublin 4. They expect over 20,000 visitors and over 20 restaurants to join for the weekend. With just 5 weeks to go, a plethora of new international names have just been added to an already impressive list of restaurant attendees. These include Londoner, Ali Borer, head chef and co-owner of Smoking Goat. He’ll join Lee Tiernan from the brilliant Black Axe Mangal and pioneer of London’s high-end barbecue scene, Neil Rankin from Temper Restaurants, his Soho head chef and asador expert Martin Anderson and Goatober’s & Cabrito’s James Wheltor. BBQ expert and author Genevieve Taylor joins for the first time and Smokestak’s David Carter is back with his grown-up street food barbecue and wood-smoked meats.

Representing the USA they’ve just added Chris Lilly, six-time World Champion Pitmaster & owner of Big Bob Gibsons, one of the most famous BBQ joints in the USA and where Alabama White BBQ sauce originated. There’s also Mike Johnson from Sugarfire Smokehouse, St.Louis, USA and Jiyeon Lee & Cody Taylor from Heirloom Market BBQ, Atlanta, Georgia.

The hot homegrown talent includes Grainne O’Keefe, Holly Dalton, Fingal Ferguson, Gaz Smith, Paul Flynn, John Relihan, Mark O’Brien, Rick Higgins and Graham Herterich. There are a host of brilliant restaurants getting ready to feed the masses at Herbert Park – Lucky Tortoise, Lil Portie, Fowl Play, Clanbrassil House, Kinara Kitchen, Bowls by Kwanghi Chan, Smokestak, Smokin Bones, Box Burger and The Cupcake Bloke. The only rule is that they must cook with live fire using natural charcoal and wood only; no gas or electricity.
