Jane and Myles, creators of Strandhill’s Shells Café and Baker Boys (Shells’ urban cousin) are excited to offer their made-to-order menu along with their deli service. The last year has meant the Baker Boys team are constantly evolving, but one thing has remained steady: serving up good and tasty grub and quality coffee.
Jane says, “We’ve been so lucky that we have been able to stay open and operate safely this past year. The safety of our staff and customers has always been paramount to everything we do. We’ve changed our food offering, we’ve changed the layout, we’ve changed how people can order; we’re always trying to make things better for our loyal cafe community.”
Baker Boys favourites
From the made-to-order menu, expect favourites like the Baker Boys BLT, with crispy bacon, basil mayo, tomato and mixed leaves, piled on their famous seeded white bread. The Bombay Chilli Cheese Toastie combines curried crispy baby potatoes, melted cheese, onion, spinach and homemade green chutney. Plant-based eaters can dig into the Vegan Loaded Fries – chunky chips piled with five-bean vegan chilli, homemade guac, sweetcorn salsa, sriracha, fresh chillies and coriander. A firm favourite is the Baker Boys Fish and Chips – two crispy battered fish fillets, served with chunky chips, minty mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce.
Deli and bakery open for takeaway Tuesday-Friday from 7.30am-3pm and Saturdays from 9am-3pm. Made to order open Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-3pm.
