Wing lovers can’t miss Wings Food Fest, the festival dedicated entirely to chicken wings, returning to the seafront in Easy Food’s hometown of Bray, Co. Wicklow this summer.
From July 19th to 21st, top-notch wing pop up shops will be serving up some incredible varieties of wings, sauces, sides and dips, with vegan options on offer, too. If you’re feeling brave (or hungry!), be sure to register to take part in the festival’s famous wing eating competitions.
The festival is searching for Ireland’s favourite chicken wings venue in the annual Wing Off, which will see top venues battling it out to become Wing Off Champion for 2019. Last year Mullingar House, Chapelizod, had the best wings in Ireland — will they retain the title? The public will decide the semi-finalists, so vote for your wing hero now.
In between binging on wings, you can enjoy the seafront funfair, BBQ pitmaster demos, street food and craft markets, live music and DJs spinning top rock anthems and some classic 80s tunes.
The festival kicks off on Friday, July 19th with an evening of wings and rocking music from 6pm, then runs daily from 10am to 7pm on the Saturday and Sunday. To register for the wing competitions and get more information, head to www.wingsfoodfest.com or check out the festival on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
