Over 70% of us snack each day, and if you have a sweet tooth but are on the hunt for a healthier option, these snacks made with all natural ingredients could be for you.
Supernature began at a kitchen table. Noele McEvoy’s daughter Laura suffered from severe eczema and was told by her GP to cut out dairy, wheat and refined sugar — a hard ask for a chocolate-loving 13-year-old! Using only a few natural ingredients, Noele started making chocolates and desserts for her daughter and her pals for movies, parties and sleepovers.
After years of fine-tuning the recipes and made using only four ingredients, Supernature was born. Launched into a hungry market late last year, the brand has since secured a nationwide distribution deal with Dunnes Stores.
The award-winning Supernature snacks are carefully made using a tiny number of organic and simple ingredients sourced from farmers from all over the world, including collectives in Indonesia and fourth generation growers in California. No emulsifiers, palm oil, flavourings or processing aids are included.
According to Noele, who is also a trained health coach, “People are more food educated now and are looking for healthier options for the snacks they love. For me, it’s a passion project and I totally believed in what we were doing. It became my dream to have snacks available in everyday stores, so that Laura and everyone else who loved chocolate but wanted or needed to have a healthier alternative could simply go to their local convenience or health store and find Supernature.”
This award-winning range of chocolate-based snacks made from just four natural ingredients is organic, vegan and dairy- and gluten-free. Available nationwide and online for €2.29 each, or a box of 12 for €27.50.
