Dublin foodies are going to love this new kid on the dock

    Mackenzie's Easy Food

Mackenzie’s, an american inspired diner just opened up last week at no. 6 Hanover Quay with an absolutely stellar menu.

Whether you’re looking for a unique brunch spot to try out with family or friends, or if you’re simply in the mood for more of a casual dining experience, Mackenzie’s has got you covered. With their relaxed and beautifully laid out restaurant which serves a diverse menu of American inspired classics, it’s sure to be the next foodie hot-spot.

The menu consists of starters perfect for sharing, including charred globe artichokes as well as a selection of simple sushi and sashimi plates. Mains include a range of wood fired pizzas, cheeseburgers, sandwiches and salads. A selection of steaks, and a daily market fish, will be cooked to perfection over the open wood fired grill. It’s worth saving room for dessert at Mackenzie’s, with a mouth-watering selection of hearty and comforting options, like their household favourite oven baked chocolate and gingerbread cookie skillet, served hot with a dollop of bourbon vanilla ice-cream — delish!

The drinks menu is as diverse as the food, with a range of creative cocktails and a wine list created by their in-house team. The wine list features wines from Japan, China and Brazil, along with a selection of vegan options available on tap. This is a no frills menu that is big on taste, designed to be enjoyed with groups of family and friends, big or small.

Located on the Grand Canal Basin which connects the River Liffey and the Grand Canal, the dining room features an upturned rowing boat on the ceiling, giving a nod to its location between these two iconic bodies of water. An open kitchen adorns the back wall of the restaurant, featuring a copper wood fired pizza oven, adding a touch of theatre to the room.

With the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre a stone’s throw from the restaurant, there will be a pre-theatre menu on offer from Sunday through to Thursday, serving favourites from the menu for €25.95 for two courses and €29.95 for three courses. Mackenzie’s brings a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere to Hanover Quay and will be open daily from 12pm – 10pm for lunch through to dinner and from 10am – 4pm for brunch on the weekends, with dinner until 10pm.
