3l cold water
8 tea bags
½ a lemon, sliced
For the simple syrup:
200g caster sugar
- Combine the water and sugar for the simple syrup in a small saucepan over a medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-6 minutes until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat.
- Bring the water for the tea to a boil. Remove from the heat, pour into a pitcher and steep the tea bags for five minutes.
- Remove the tea bags, then stir in the simple syrup until combined. Add the lemon slices, refrigerate until chilled and serve over ice.
