In this brand new six-part cookery series, Lazy Chef Simon Lamont travels all over Ireland to sample the spoils of Irish cuisine and rustle up some quick fix dishes.
TV3 is launching a brand new cookery show with a difference this Thursday 16th October. Unlike most cookery programmes, The Lazy Chef will cut every corner to make effortless food, all the while showcasing some of the best produce on offer across the country (very Easy Food!) This unique programme will see Simon Lamont share his secrets to fast track delicious meals by offering tips, tricks and short cuts for making complicated food in a simple way.
Simon’s quest for big flavours sees him meeting some big characters, all as passionate about food as himself. Over the course of the series, he’ll travel the length and breadth of this beautiful island to sample the spoils of Irish cuisine, interacting with those who are dedicated to providing the very best locally made produce. Along his adventure Simon will be rustling up food that will appeal to the Irish public, blending traditional with a modern international twist and finished with a sprinkle of lazy, proving that you don’t need to compromise on taste to cook lazy!
In the first episode, airing this Thursday, Simon visits Cork, famed for its influence on artisan food. With a coastline spanning in excess of 1000km there is some superb seafood on offer, and Simon takes full advantage of it for his Shellfish Roast, while a quick stop at Toonsbridge buffalo farm means that Simon has some fresh authentic mozzarella for his ‘cheatza’ pizza.
“The Lazy Chef” airs Thursday 16th October at 8.30pm on TV3.
