We spent a fantastic evening in The Brasserie at The Marker Hotel, Dublin, last night. From the Flaggy Shore oysters with crispy onions right through to our gorgeously chocolatey petits fours, we were blown away by the quality of food and the warm, welcoming service.
The Brasserie is a relaxed dining experience in an open, comfortable space that transforms seamlessly from day to night. Based right beside the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in the Dublin docklands, it’s the ideal dining destination for theatre goers, with a pre-theatre menu available each evening from Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm until 7pm, always ensuring that guests wrap up in perfect time to enjoy the show.
This is a destination for food lovers who love to try something different, yet share a genuine passion for discovering simple, unfussy dishes made with locally sourced, always fresh ingredients. Our favourite dish of the night was the organic trout served with crispy lardo, a warm potato and squid salad, a thick wedge of celeriac and a flavoursome seaweed broth (right), although it was a close call between that and our flamed seabass starter with a mussel and grape salsa, fermented kohlrabi and potato crisp. We’re sure to be back to try out the rest of the delectable, seasonal menu.
