What a way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day: food and history, all rolled into one!
Following the huge success of previous events in 2016 and 2017, The Home of St Patrick Festival is once again celebrating the patron saint across counties Armagh and Down with an eleven-day programme of local and international music, food, theatre, sport, spoken word and spirituality.
Unknown by many, St Patrick is also the patron saint of French fishermen and Nigeria! The new Food & Walking Tour on Sunday, March 18th will follow his footsteps around Armagh City, exploring links to fish, Nigeria and Ireland in the 5th Century with specially selected culinary delicacies and beverages.
With tours taking place at 11:00am and 3:00pm, local Blue Badge guide Donna Fox provides this invaluable insight to the foodie heart of the Cathedral City, visiting Armagh’s award-winning restaurants and pubs. We in Easy Food had the privilege of exploring Armagh’s delicious offerings on a tour hosted by Donna, and we can attest that it’s an experience that is perfectly tailored to any inquisitive foodie!
