Guests and visitors at Lough Erne Resort can celebrate the upcoming Royal Wedding in style with some new additions to the menu.
A regal-spin on the French speciality – the Café Gourmand – will be available over the weekend. The limited edition Royal Café Gourmand consists of a Palace Cappuccino dusted with 24 carat gold leaf, served alongside five bite-sized homemade desserts (priced £15 per person).
Created especially for the occasion by Executive Chef Noel McMeel and his team, the sweet treats include a Golden Raspberry Cheesecake, Blackcurrant and Buckthorn Jellies, a traditional Royal Fruit Tart, Raspberry and Almond Indulgence and the piece de resistance – Gold-Plated Macaroons with Coco Barry Chocolate.
The Resort’s expert mixologists have also introduced a cocktail fit for a Duchess to the menu over the Royal Wedding weekend. The Gin Markle is a fragrant gin-based spritz, combining Bombay Gin, Grapefruit juice and Elderflower tonic, garnished with Rosemary, Mandarin Orange and Gold Leaf (£9.95).
Both additions to the menus will be available on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May.
